Mona Varma

Mona Verma is a writer based in Hardwar, Uttarakhand. She did her Philosophy Honours from Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi. She was born in Hardwar and brought up by her grandparents.

At a very early age, Mona turned to books and rediscovered a world that accepted her as its own. As the years passed the book reader turned into a book writer.

She has published three books. Her first book "A Bridge to Nowhere was released by Sir Ruskin Bond in 2009 at Dehradun.

Anupma Khanna

Ms. Khanna is an internationally awarded journalist, creative writer and a freelance soft -skills & behavioural trainer. Noted for her meritorious work, she has been instrumental in the success of the Uttarakhand edition of The Pioneer newspaper where she currently works in senior positions as a Senior Feature Writer and the Head of special pages. She holds degrees in law, business management and journalism from prestigious universities and has been a Jefferson Fellow with The East-West Center, U.S.A. She optimizes her proficiency in literature by imparting life skills education to youth in India and abroad and has trained over 3000 people from diverse demographics.

Chandrashekhar Tiwari

Mr. Tiwari was born in Almora. With a Masters in Geography, he is currently working in Doon Library and Research Centre as a Research Associate. He has been continuously published in various magazines of Uttarakhand on subjects related to culture and socio-economic conditions. He has been an active part of programmes organised by Akashvani and Doordarshan. He has edited and written books related to the ways of people in Kumaon and Uttarakhand, on large. He has worked with UP State Rural Development Institute and Uttarakhand Environment Institute in the past.

Jaskiran Chopra

Jaskiran is a senior journalist, author and an academician. I work as special correspondent for The Pioneer in Dehra Dun and teach at Doon University’s School of Communication. My books are "Jasn-e-Tanhai", an anthology of Urdu poetry, "Autumn Raga", a novel in English and "Memories of Another Day" published in November 2015. She has done doctorate in the subject "The Romance of the Real in the Writings of Ruskin Bond."

Ira Chauhan

Ira Chauhan is a freelance journalist writing on issues ranging from parenting, urban issues to environment. She is a trained Odissi dancer and draws her sense of balance and beauty from her dance form. She has also been at the forefront of the tree conservation movement in Dehradun and marketing of organic produce of Uttarakhand farmers. She currently manages Seclude, a boutique resort in Mussoorie. She is married with two daughters and has been living in Dehradun since 1995.
